6 months!

Well, our sweet baby officially turned 6 months old this last Wednesday! We sang Happy Half Birthday to her in the morning and let the whole day be all about her... wait, every day is all about her! Anyway, she all of a sudden seemed so big to me on that day. To continue celebrating Mya's half birthday, I'm going to steal an idea from a new blog friend and record her accomplishments here as well as all the little things about her that capture our hearts on a daily basis. Mya Jae, here are some amazing things about you at just 6 months:

~You have cut one tooth already and are working on your second one as I type. You don't seem to be bothered by them at all.
~You love to make farting noises constantly... and amazingly, your dad and I are so proud!
Your favorite food right now is oatmeal and bananas. But you like almost anything at this point, except carrots and pears. Yuck!
~You love to smile constantly! However, you reserve your laughter for only ridiculously funny things... which changes daily!
~You still absolutely love your bath time. You have discovered how much fun is it to gather your bath toys in your arms. You are so gentle in doing this; it is completely different than the way you splash around.
~8:00 is your bed time and you go to bed every night so easily! And sleep all night through!
~You had been waking up at 5:45 every morning for the last month, but since you turned 6 months you have slept until 6:30 or 7:00 every morning. Will this be a new trend? Your dad and I hope so!
~You love to go on walks and be outside. You love to watch the birds and look at the trees. You're so much like your mom in that way!
~Basketball is your favorite sport to watch on t.v. right now. But you really love just about anything on ESPN. You are so much like your dad in that way!
~Daddy and I love the way you smell, dirty or clean! We can't even describe how you smell... it's just wonderful!
~You have the most gorgeous blue eyes. People we don't even know are always commenting on your beautiful eyes. Two people in the last week told me you were the most beautiful baby they've ever seen. I agree!
~You hate to have your shirt changed because you don't like your arms to be pulled on. That hasn't changed since you were a tiny baby. Hopefully, you'll grow out of that soon!
~You love to stand all the time. Does this mean you will skip crawling and go straight for walking? You seem to show no interest whatsoever in crawling at this point.
~You've always liked loud noises, and vacuuming is no different. For some reason, you love it when I vacuum. Don't worry, I'll teach you how when you get old enough!
~Lastly, the best time of the day is in the morning, no matter how early it is, because you smile so big and are so happy! You are definitely a morning person. And although your dad and I are not, we cherish everyday when we bring you into our bed in the morning and all three cuddle together!

Mya, you are the love of our lives! You have successfully turned your dad into a man wrapped around a tiny finger willing to do anything for his daughter! And you have turned your mom into a blubbering woman who cries just thinnking about you! We are so excited to see how much you change in the next 6 months! Happy half birthday my sweets!
